Unit Standard Range

This learning is aimed at individuals entering or currently employed in any capacity where handling of hazardous/ dangerous and dangerous freight occurs across a range of different environments. The applied competence expressed in this standard covers largely familiar scenarios requiring limited discretion and judgement, and the responsibility that is defined in terms of relevant legislation.

1. Identify and classify hazardous/dangerous goods.
2. Handle and store hazardous/dangerous goods.
3. Implement statutory requirements.
4. Take the appropriate actions in the event of accidents or incidents
